What is the tenant registration form about?
Registering a tenant’s information can submit the landlord and the property in an online application. The tenant verification form can be downloaded and submitted to the local police station for tenant verification.
Before handing over the keys to a house or apartment, every landlord must register for tenant verification online, download the verification form, and complete the necessary paperwork. Landlords are required to conduct the police verification of tenants.
Under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, which deals with violation of a lawfully announced order by a public officer, a tenant can be “punishable with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month or with monetary penalty.”
Procedures for Gujarat Police Tenant Verification
As you can imagine, tenant verification through the Gujarat Police platform is simple. To begin with, log on to the Gujarat Police website. Select the “tenant registration” option and “register if you are a new user.” Now fill in the form that will appear where you need to put your full name and mobile contact.
Next, select the “send OTP” button and complete the OTP received. Please create a new password and then confirm it. Include your email address and enter a secret answer to a question. Enter the code from the screen and check the box next to “user agreement.”
Finally, press the “finish registration” button. After all, you can easily log in and fill out the necessary forms for tenant registration.
How to register on the official government portal?
It is time to register through the official government portal to follow the process, which is quick and easy. It will help you to do the following:
- The first step is to log on to the official website
- Now select the city or district and the police station that is located in the drop-down menu
- Include the tenant’s name, spouse or parent’s name, date of birth, gender, occupation, contact information, etc
- Also, you must add the lease information, start date, lease number, and end date
- Enter the tenant’s permanent address on the form
- You must post the tenant’s photo and proof of identification
